Planning and designing a destination wedding, along with any additional events, is a full-time commitment that spans months of meticulous preparation. In fact, most of our destination weddings take between 12 to 18 months to plan. That’s the level of time, care, and attention we devote to every single celebration. Of course, we can; and have planned and designed, a wedding even in less than 4 months, but that is the topic of another blog!

From the moment a couple reaches out to us, our planning journey begins. We start with an initial Zoom meeting where we get to know our couple: their love story, vision, priorities, and what they dream of for their wedding weekend.

This essential first meeting is led by one of our senior planners: meet Jennifer and Melissa.

With over 14 years of experience at CDE by Suzanne Morel, Jennifer and Melissa are true experts in all things Cabo. Their deep knowledge of the region, paired with their warm professionalism and creative intuition, is what sets the tone for every event we bring to life.

Meet Jennifer— Senior Wedding Planner

Jennifer is the calm at the center of every storm. With over a decade of experience planning luxury weddings in Cabo, she brings a quiet strength and unwavering presence to each event she leads. Her calmness in times of adversity is unmatched; keeping everyone centered and reassured, even when the unexpected arises.

What truly sets Jennifer apart is her natural ability to lead while remaining flexible and open. She’s a master mediator, balancing family dynamics, vendor coordination, and client desires with grace and professionalism. Her patience and steady guidance help our couples feel seen, heard, and fully supported throughout the entire planning process.

Meet Melissa— Senior Wedding Planner

Melissa is the definition of poise and precision. Known for her assertive approach and remarkable attention to detail, she leads with confidence and purpose. Every timeline, checklist, and layout is thoroughly considered; ensuring no element is overlooked.

Melissa is also an exceptional problem solver. She anticipates needs before they arise and manages complex scenarios with creative, solutions-oriented thinking. Her eloquence and professionalism shine in every client conversation, making her a trusted guide and strong advocate for her couples.

Meet Fernanda— Planning Assistant & Operations Coordinator

Behind every flawlessly executed celebration is someone ensuring every detail is in place and that someone is Fernanda. As the right hand to our planning team, Fernanda plays a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly and our events on track.

From managing paperwork and vendor logistics to coordinating schedules and behind-the-scenes timelines, Fernanda approaches each task with precision and purpose. Her strong sense of initiative and proactive mindset means she’s always one step ahead: anticipating needs, catching details others might miss, and ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.

Diligent and highly organized, Fernanda is the quiet force that keeps the planning engine moving. Her commitment to excellence allows our planners to focus on the big picture while she masterfully supports every layer of execution. Simply put, our events wouldn’t run the same without her.

As the planning process evolves and it’s time to begin shaping the wedding design and styling, our couples are introduced to our exceptionally creative Wedding & Event Designer, Teresa. This is where the magic truly begins. Together, we dive into developing the color palette, wedding floor plan, overall aesthetic, and all the thoughtfully curated details that bring a one-of-a-kind, deeply personal celebration to life.

Meet Teresa – Wedding & Event Designer

Teresa is the creative soul behind the visual storytelling at CDE by Suzanne Morel. With a deep-rooted passion for art and design, she approaches each event as a blank canvas, thoughtfully transforming ideas into refined, memorable experiences. With the support of Aranza and Dayan, we collaborate to design, curate, and bring to life a fun, stylish, and deeply personal experience. Behind the scenes, this trio works diligently to turn your vision into reality, handling every detail with creativity, care, and precision.

Meet Paloma — Celebrations Specialist

Paloma is the first friendly face (or voice!) that our clients encounter and the perfect person to kick off the planning journey. As our Celebrations Specialist, she combines strong communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to connect. She listens deeply, asks the right questions, and quickly understands each client’s vision, style, and priorities.

Paloma’s strength lies in her collaborative spirit. She works seamlessly with the rest of the team to ensure every idea and request is carefully considered and brought to life with precision. Whether she’s customizing an itinerary or navigating a last-minute request, Paloma approaches every challenge with initiative and practical problem-solving; always with our clients’ best interests at heart.

Meet Aranza — Event Styling Coordinator

Aranza is the perfect blend of creativity and structure; bringing ideas to life while making sure every detail is flawlessly executed. As our Event Styling Coordinator, she plays a key role in turning our visual plans into real-world magic.

With a sharp eye for design and exceptional organizational skills, Aranza ensures that all creative elements are aligned; from décor logistics to detailed schedules. Her strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail guarantee that nothing is overlooked, whether she’s coordinating visuals, assisting with styling decisions, or managing critical behind-the-scenes elements.

Meet Dayan — Administrative Coordinator

Dayan is the organized backbone of our office, managing essential administrative tasks with efficiency and care. As our Administrative Coordinator, she ensures smooth day-to-day operations, keeping schedules, communications, and documentation on track so the entire team can focus on delivering exceptional events.

Her sense of responsibility and collaborative spirit make her a reliable team player who seamlessly supports planners, designers, and specialists alike. A fast learner with an eagerness to grow, Dayan embraces new challenges and continuously expands her skills to better serve our clients and team.

With her dedication and positive attitude, Dayan helps keep everything running behind the scenes; so your celebration can shine.

When the big day finally arrives, it’s time for our entire team to shine; and none more so than our incredible Production Crew, the unsung heroes who transform plans into breathtaking realities.

Our couples and celebration clients finally meet this vital part of our team, the skilled professionals responsible for executing every detail of the event with precision and care. But the Production Crew is so much more than just muscle moving tables and chairs; they are artisans of their craft.

Days before the event, they meticulously prepare every piece of furniture and décor, polishing, maintaining, and ensuring each item is flawless and ready for its moment. On event day, they expertly load and transport everything with the utmost care, skillfully setting up each element to perfection. From measuring the exact distance between place settings to aligning ceremony chairs with precision, their attention to detail elevates the entire experience.

After the celebration concludes, they return to carefully break down and pack up every item, conducting thorough inventories to ensure nothing is missed. Following the event, the crew assesses the condition of each piece, promptly attending to any maintenance or touch-ups needed to keep our collection in pristine condition.
